The remix album of Envelope Muse is going to be something special. I wanted to wait until it was out to release Noisy Sky 6, but it fit so perfectly on this collection, and then I really needed to release it, so here it is before the remix album comes out, thankfully with kind permission of Brendon EM... Welcome to my brain!
3.	The Junkie Searches Underground For The Path Of Eternal Truth 06:00	lyrics
Track made January 25th 2023. A piece in 4 discernible Owl alter ego parts; the 42 second intro madness, the discovered section that needed looping, the continuation of the cacophony until its peak, then an entirely different direction for the epic doom second half. Instruments: Bass, guitar, effects pedals, piano, voice, synth, steamer cooking veg, laptop, the last gasps of a dying printer and tapping pen. This is a gathering of 8 separate 'done' or 'in progress' tracks from the previous year that were doomed to wander the sonic world alone forever (or at least suffocate to death in my 'To Use' folder, finally hand-picked to play for the team.
4.	Beyond The Door 07:55	lyrics
Partly inspired by more reading about liminal space, and the image is a nod to the 1980s style prog rock record covers, and also to one of my favourite films, The Truman Show, as it is slightly reworked from one of the scenes. This led on to me using the end scene for the visuals (added in the download). The second clip is the first one sped up, looped 20 times and with more effects piled onto it.
5.	The Pleistocene Epoch 12:50	lyrics
Initial field recording sounds made in Leeds City Museum in an exhibit showing, you guessed it, the Pleistocene Epoch.
6.	Ladies And Gentle Owls, We Are Floating In Deep Space 04:33	lyrics
This track is made using only the sounds of deep space recorded by NASA probes, by transmitting radiowaves into sounds. Made using 2 seconds of silence, amplified 2800% then meticulously battered, looped and layered, using Wavepad.
8.	Cryptic Messages From The Kašperské Mountains 04:15	lyrics
I'm not entirely sure what the original sounds are, they were probably called 'Voice-193.m4a' in my phone for many months until I found something of interest in them and decided to have a play.
9.	Schematic Of The Earth's Cores 15:00	lyrics
My piece was made using synth, piano, voice, bass, effects pedals, Reaper and Wavepad. It is an attempt to soundtrack the journey from one side of this beautiful and ferocious Earth to the other, going through the core and out the other side, hence the peak of the distortion being in the middle.

Don't be fooled by the title of this ongoing series of release; it's not all noise, specifically. It starts and ends with something rather nice, and has some calmer, dronier, more minimal times throughout, but yes, okay, there is a bit of a crazy ride as well!

If you've been here a little while, you know what to expect from these collections, which have been made up of tracks submitted to compilations, but I think from here on, I will also include some other 'orphan' or previously unreleased tracks. As always, unexpect the expected and just see where this 80 minute sonic trip takes you.

Tracks made between March 1st 2022 and June 6th 2023, remastered and arranged afterwards until August 14th 2023, to be in a fashion that hopefully sounds coherent despite their disparate origins.
