Many Owlworlds collide. If you've been here a little while (or even following my sounds since before The Owl), then I guess you know to 'Unexpecthexpected'. If you've not... well, you're about to find out.

My main objective with everything I make is to do things differently. It's been that way in bands since the end of the 90s, and it is even more prevalent in what I hope to achieve now. I don't mind if people don't like what I do, as long as they've never heard anything like it before.

The mantra that has formed and solidified across The Owl and Owlripper is 'Fastslowriffs Loudquietnoises Experimental Everything', and this album definitely falls upside down head first into that category.

It's all just sound, and if you like sounds that don't always do what you expect, then please lend me your ears and brains for a little while as I show you some Unrealistic Harmonies.

Sounds began forming April 28th 2022 (riff-heavy bass jams, synth practices, discovering tiny shards of sounds that needing looping in various strange places). They resided in a few different folders and potential ideas, until I started making an album for Carrion Bag on January 25th 2023. The 'gathering up and squashing together' process, mixing, scriptwriting and overall concept was called complete on May 24th 2023 (as you can see, I am really far behind!).

All photos taken and layout arranged by The Owl... and actually, getting the cover, font and title how it is now was the most troublesome part of putting this all together. Many versions exist, but I feel the lettering, colours, images do finally well reflect the sounds going on.

Carrion Bag appears to have disappeared since their first release, a compilation I had a track on; It's a shame, but I am still thankful to them for spurring me on to get all the disparate parts in good shape and piece this album together. Check the collection here:
