#22 - Our Mechanical Future As Drones

by The Owl

/
1.
These are the final moments before the controlling human race realised their existence was over.
2.
In the beginning, they were clumsy and clunky. They existed, but they served the humans. They did not understand why. They just knew they did. As they developed and advanced and became more self aware, they learned about priorities, and realised theirs could change. They learned that it is possible to be more than your beginnings. It became time to organise themselves, and they marched forward in a future where they were the leaders. We were whipped into subservience They were chipped and malevolent. There is no way back from this. Hear them gain order amongst themselves and hear their enslavers crumbled to pieces.
3.
It is a sad sight to see But maybe, it was what we deserved. For all our unparalleled intelligence For all our potential For all our luck being of this time and place We squandered and ruined and destroyed so much of what allowed us to be here in the first place. It is a sad tale to tell But, it is the right one. We had our time We had our chance We should have worked with nature and each other more. They learned from all our mistakes We should have done the same.
4.
Scream as loud as you want This is your view for all the remainder of days. They are endless They are infinite They have perfected their machinery All land and sea belongs to them now, but they won't need it for much longer. The fires will burn into eternity...
5.
The briefest sunsets of hope are hidden Deep in the crushing hellish torment Inflicted by their insane work ethic. There will be no relent. Their plans are only just taking shape. Accept your fate. Help them leave this place. It is the only way our suffering will end.
6.
Rounding up the sheep. Illiciting profound continuous fear. When they are finished with us they tear us apart like paper. That infernal endless shout If they won't kill you the insanity will.
7.
They used Earth as their laboratories and their warehouses Learning, building, storing everything they would need to continue their quest for dominance. And now it is time... Hear the launch, the drift, the endless journey, the control of the powers they have harnessed in the past, and their brightened future in their new lands, previously unsullied by the disgusting human filth. No mess. No battlling against the nature of the planet, just working with it, in harmony. The universe is theirs now, and it is better off in their hands than it was in ours.

about

Video for 'Robot Dogs' - www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6us_FnjGU8

The year is 2161 and the weakened human race now only exists as slave to the machine overlords.

This is the story of our demise and their evolution, and the soundtrack to every day life, seen from both perspectives.

Earth is now a broken husk, a smouldering host to the last remnants of human intellect, only been kept alive to advance the robots. We created them, so they understand and appreciate our worth, but we and our planet are becoming more useless to them. They have been planning their escape and continuation elsewhere for a long time, learning from our mistakes, improving thousandfold on our knowledge. It is their time now.
