There had been talk of The Owl & VEIDRIK collaborating on something for quite a while, and preceding this was his split with my Morbid Beauty project, but we've finally got to do one here, and it was a mega interesting trip to do so as well!

VEIDRIK makes his sounds using the raw data of photographs and then manipulating the results into wild and crazy sonic forms.

For this collaboration, I sent him one of my photographs, from which 18 minutes of sounds were created. I then smashed this unpeaceful piece to unfeasible pieces, melted it down, let it cool and then rebuilt and conceptualised it into the 9 part, 42 minute, hectic experimental noise and loops form you hear and see now.

It was created between November 6th and December 7th, 2021.

Tracks 1, 3, 4 and 6 were made from what has become track 2.
7 was made from 5, and 9 is from 8 reversed with some extras.

Hopefully you will listen close to notice the little pebbles, sediment and sand shards of the original in the reformed blocks.

The cover is an exploded version of the original photo I sent, taken on the black beach Reynisfjara in Vík í Mýrda, Iceland.
