Bamboo Forest, Arashiyama Bamboo Grove or Sagano Bamboo Forest, is a natural forest of bamboo in Arashiyama, Kyoto, Japan. The forest consists mostly of Moso Bamboo and consists of several pathways for tourists and visitors. The Ministry of the Environment considers it a part of the soundscape of Japan.

Expansive, immersive, epic dark ambient drone journey (with occasional hints of relevant noise, experiments and twists as always, hopefully at all the right moments for those now listening).

Exploring the themes of 'Mother Nature' as a living breathing entity, the intriguing forests of the world, and how we should make more of an effort, small and daily, large and for our lifetimes, to take care of the very things that give us our existence.

Made between December 16th and May 3rd 2022, using piano, voice, bass, drums, several field recordings in Orlová Cz, no 'Paulstretch' and lots of manipulations and layering.

I hope you will step away from reality for an hour and let my sounds and nature guide your brain and feelings. I promise it is a warming, fulfilling trip once you are inside.

This was initially intended as a continuation in style and aesthetic of The Recluse and The Procession (OWL44 and 54). It morphed into something slightly different, since this is all an ever-evolving process and trip, but I still think it fulfils something of the starting idea.

It's always interesting to me to see where the music, the aesthetic, the whole things leads and changes direction unexpectedly. Thank you to everyone who is here, looking, listening, and being part of this ongoing experiment in sounds.
