About my half: Bass, piano, vocals, drums, photos - The Owl
Tracks 1, 2 and 4 made between November 15th 2020 and January 3rd 2021, whereas 3 has had a very epic journey (see 'Info').
It was a great pleasure to talk with Eric Jovet regarding this release. I am so pleased he asked me to team up for a split, as the chats were entertaining and also it pushed me to collate something interesting and a varied for my half.
I tried to include a lot of facets of experimental / noise with hypnotic layered feedback, drones, glitch, low end, dissonance, fast and odd loops, swirly bass, tension and some explosions. It's a slow burner until the 6 minute mark, things get silly, there are eventual pay offs for those with patience, understanding and those who deep listen. I'm happy with how much I have put into my 28 minutes with these 4 very different parts.
Forever a learning curve, this noise stuff. I'm absolutely loving it, and meeting some great characters and immensely talented artists along the way, Eric being one of them, so, thank you. I hope people out there enjoy what we've put together here.
